Mr. Gómez joined J.D. Power in 2011. He has more than 16 years of managerial experience in the automotive market in Mexico—working for premium and non-premium brands, such as Ford, Volvo, Jaguar, Lincoln, Toyota, Scion and Lexus—with successful assignments across several functional areas, including sales operations, regional operations, market representative, product planning, marketing and brand management. Prior to his current position, he worked eight years at Toyota de Mexico, including an assignment with Toyota Motor Sales in Torrance, California, supporting the strategic planning for the eventual launch of the Scion and Lexus brands in Mexico. In his most recent assignment as e-Business Manager, he led the transformation of Toyota’s business-to-business and business-to-customer communication platforms online.
Mr. Gómez received a degree in mechanical and electrical engineering from the Universidad Iberoamericana and a diploma in marketing from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), both in Mexico City.
